During an interview to Gala.de Howie talked about a lot of things, mainly about his first solo album and the joint tour with NKOTB, but he took some time to give AJ some advices about being a dad, as well.
When asked about what advices he could give to AJ about being a dad, Howie said:
"I told him what I heard from Brian. When you're a dad you have to be unselfish. When you're living in the music business you can be very selfish. You're in the spotlight and can get everything you want. When you have a baby you realize not everything is about you." And more: "A child can change a lot of things in your life, specially your social life. I told AJ that there will be times that his kid will throw all his plans in the wind. For example, if the baby is sick or screaming and you want to go out but the baby vomits..."
