The singer and his wife first shared the news of the impending arrival on Twitter in July, tweeting, “[We] feel like kids on Christmas Eve!!! Doctors appointment tomorrow to have an ultrasound and hopefully find out the sex!!”
The happy couple even shared a video with fans to announce the baby’s name, noting that she’ll have the same initials as her proud papa.
“It’s crazy — the first Backstreet girl,” McLean added.
Indeed, McLean’s daughter will be the first female born to a member of the Backstreet Boys: Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell are all fathers to boys.
Little Ava is due in November.
