Backstreet Boys have poked fun at McFly and Busted, joking their name sounds like a burger.
When quizzed about the supergroup during a new interview with Cosmopolitan.co.uk, the US boyband veterans joked: “McBusted?! Who?
"That’s a funny name though. It sounds like a McDonalds sandwich. Who are they? Hilarious.”
As well as dissing McBusted, the I Want It That Way band also spoke of similarities between themselves and One Direction, stating: "Where they are is very reminiscent of where we were when we first started and we’re happy for them – they’re talented.
“Nick was the Harry Styles of the group. He’s the bad boy though?He’s the one who dates celebrities and gets tattoos at 2 in the morning. Sounds like somebody we know...” - a nod to member AJ.
As for advice they would give to any new boybands coming up through the ranks, BSB added: "It’s a marathon – you have to pace yourself.
"Having 20 years in the business is almost unheard of. Don’t burn out too quick. If you’re working too hard, you’ll end up hating each other and splitting up.”
