[Nick Carter] More details about Nick's wedding.

Family is family — whether it’s the one you were born into or the one you choose to create. The latter came through for Nick Carter during his wedding to Lauren Kitt at the Bacara resort in Santa Barbara on Saturday.

RumorFix can exclusively reveal that not one of Nick’s family members were in attendance during his big day. Sources close to the star tell us that none of them were actually invited, except for little brother Aaron Carter, who missed the ceremony because of a flight delay.

Carter insiders tell us, animosity lingers between Nick and the family for various reasons, but especially after he missed sister Angel’s wedding in February since the Backstreet Boy member scheduled his bachelor party on the same day.

The Carter clan’s absence didn’t seem to bother Nick, because he had his singing brothers there — all five of the Backstreet Boys witnessed the singer’s nuptials. RumorFix was told exclusively by a wedding insider that Howie Dorough was the only boy band member who was selected to be one of his  five groomsmen, with his best man being longtime friend Shadwick. Lauren’s maid of honor was, of course,  her sister and AJ McLean’s wife was one of her bridesmaids.

Nick couldn’t hold back the tears the minute he saw his bride-to-be walk down the aisle. Our insider tells us you could tell the tears streaming down his face were only tears of joy, knowing that he finally gets to make his own family who will love and cherish him, despite his flaws. And that’s exactly what the 34-year-old said to Kitt in his vows, explaining to her how appreciative he is to have such a wonderful woman who supports his growth.

With that aside, the wedding was perfect. Following the ceremony,  guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, which included mini crab cakes, tortilla soup, spring rolls, and duck. After chowing down on apps, the group headed into the dining area where friends and family enjoyed a meal of braised pork, steak, and lobster before cutting into the beautiful white five tier wedding cake dressed with purple and white flowers. During the feast, each Backstreet Boy member took the mic to congratulate the couple on their nuptials, all of them shedding a tear. And what’s a Backstreet Boy wedding without some serious dance-off’s?! After filling their bellies, the group headed to the dance floor for hours of dancing — where we’re told Kevin Richardson absolutely stole the show with his moves and grooves.
